At Google I/O 2015 conference, Google debuted an early build of Now on Tap, Google’s new mind reader context-based search feature that looks like the coolest Android feature in a long period of time.

And this feature will be available in upcoming Android M. Now on Tap is a new way to search content inside apps automatically. So, when you’re in an app, you have to hold down the home button and then Now on Tap starts its magic. Your phone’s Android will figure out the content on the screen and then perform a Google Now search. While the usual search results brings back a list of links, Now on Tap brings back organized information for you. Let us suppose you are chatting with a friend and it mentions the movie Tomorrowland and if you hold the home button, a tiny card will pop up from the screen-bottom with information about the movie from the web and apps like IMDb.

now-on-tap-4

In one more example if you are chatting with your loved one and he/she said today i would like to dine Mexican Food, how about to take dinner at Reposado (For example). When you hold Home Button it will auto scan your text and pick up the place Reposado and show you related results like on Google Map etc.

now-on-tap-2

So as seen on Android M, Now on Tap is an intuitive search that works with apps – actually all apps – and you will have to never leave the app window and open the browser to search your query. Now on Tap is like your phone’s digital eye that reads your screen and brain to give you the desired result.

This feature is the coolest one which will make your life easier and does things just by thinking. You also have a full control of these suggestions whether you want to choose them or ignore. This feature in Android M is the most exciting part of the next iteration of Google’s Android OS and it surely has the capability to take Google’s personal assistant far past Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana.

For Earth’s 10th birthday, we’re expanding the Earth View collection to 1,500 landscapes from every continent and ocean and making it accessible to even more people. The new imagery is available with an updated version of our Chrome extension and a new Web Gallery. Youtube now supports 360-degree videos. Users who have cameras having this feature like Ricoh Theta have feature to capture 360-degree videos can upload their videos. These videos will play on web and Android Youtube app.

Users can see more details about the video format on GitHub. You also no need to wear VR-Headset. On the Web (read; Chrome), you can scroll around the video using your mouse like you would on Google Maps’ Street View. On Android, it’s a lot more fun – you can look around by moving your phone or tablet.

Still, we’d imagine the best experience will be with virtual reality headsets. Besides, the red on Google’s new View Master matches YouTube’s nicely. If you can’t quite wrap your head around what 360-degree videos will look like (pun quite intended), YouTube’s made a playlist of content you can try right now.

Yesterday Nvidia announced its new Android gaming console model. The latest Shield (previous entries include a gaming tablet and before that an all-in-one game controller plus screen) is the “world’s first 4K Android TV console.” This device will support 4K video at 60Hz. The Shield will launch in May for $199, game controller included.

The non-gaming bluetooth remote (“Shield remote”) looks fairly minimal and features a “one click, one touch voice search” (Amazon’s Fire TV remote) and a headset jack for listening quietly. Nvidia’s Shield is powered by its Tegra X1, its new mobile “superchip” announced in January. CEO Jen-Hsun Huang is touting just how much more powerful this Shield is compared to current set-top boxes like Roku and Apple TV — but it’s also about twice the performance of the Xbox 360 at half the power output.jpg (2)

And of course, it plays games. Nvidia Shield will have its own store, and at the time of launch there’ll be over 50 games curated, according to Huang. From the on-stage demo, we see Portal, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Half-Life 2: Episode 1. Multiple developers have taken the stage to show support and live demos, including Gearbox Software’s Randy Pitchfork (for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, running at 30fps), id’s Tim Willits (Doom 3 BFG edition), and Crytek’s Cevat Yerli (Crysis 3 at 30fps — “yes, it can run Crysis,” Huang keeps reminding us).

Recently Google update its Search app for Android 5.0 Lollipop version devices which will allow you to ON/OFF your Wifi, Bluetooth and Camera LED’s flashlight with your voice. The thing you need to do is just update Google Search App on your Android 5.0 Lollipop                                                                                                     version, then you can use these commands.

To use these commands just tap on search button in the search bar, or just say “OK, Google” command, if you have that set up. Next, simply ask the service to ON/OFF your Wifi, Bluetooth or flashlight.

For example:  “OK, Google, turn on Bluetooth/Wifi/Flashlight”

Google_search_app

A Google Now card appears and shows you what’s being toggled. You can touch the card to adjust the toggle if you asked for the wrong one or changed your mind. Additionally, if you have the volume on, you’ll hear confirmation of the action being spoken to you. I’ve tried some more commands, but none seem to work beyond these three. Airplane mode, Location, Brightness, and Volume still send you to their settings tabs. NFC and Data aren’t even recognized as triggers.

There are so many planes in the world take flights daily around us. We cannot count them because imagine if one plane is here (in USA) then other plane may be in (UAE or JAPAN) second corner of the world. This problem is solved by a San Francisco-based British developer, Callum Prentice, who a starting WebGL visualization of global flight data, Flight Stream,  so you can see almost all flights in the world above from the sky.

The Web will allows you to change the speed and size of how flights are represented and the opacity of the trails they leave as they criss-cross the globe.

Developer says the map currently shows flight routes data fetch from Open Flights but hopes to use live information in a future version. Other deveeloper can also take a look at his code and some other projects available on GitHub.

Google might have shelved its Glass project for now, but its rapid about-face doesn’t mean that its peers have given up on their own augmented reality goggle projects. Sony today made a developer version of its Google Glass-esque SmartEyeglass available for pre-order, before it goes on sale in the US, the UK, and Germany on March 10th.

Sony’s augmented spectacles can project symbols, text, and images in a user’s field of view, just like Google Glass, but the Japanese giant’s glasses need to be paired with compatible smartphones to work. Also like Google before it, Sony appears to be suggesting that SmartEyeglass has everyday applications. A video released alongside the pre-order information shows a wearer using giant green GPS arrows pointing the way a friend’s meeting location. But with a US pricetag of $840 — before tax — and a bulky frame that makes Google Glass look positively unobtrusive, this developer version of Sony’s SmartEyeglass looks like it won’t demand regular time on your face.

In addition to the US, the UK, and Germany, Sony says it’s providing the developer version of the SmartEyeglass to enterprise customers in other European countries to help drive the development of apps for industrial use. Sony’s take on Glass might find more use in business environments — at CES this year, the company already proved the bulky goggles were excellent at finding boxes in a warehouse.

Once night vision or thermal cameras are only available for the military and professionals. But now Seek Thermal is a tiny camera which you can attach to your smartphone get a thermal image of your surrounding , showing you a temperature snapshot of your environment.

There are to many awesome real-life uses for Seek Thermal camera for example to find the problem of electricity and water the camera can help you see problems inside pipes or see where heat is escaping from around windows or doors. It is also useful for home security, to see if any unwanted animals or humans are getting into your home.

The Seek Thermal system includes a camera attachment for your Android or iOS device and an app will help you to capture images and shows you more features.

Seek sells two smartphone camera attachments, the $250 Thermal camera and the $300 Thermal Xtra Range (XR), both available for iOS or Android devices. The difference between the two is that the XR can see objects twice as far as the original camera, with the same clarity and the XR has a manual focus feature. For the iPhone, you need to have a Lightning connector and iOS 7 or 8. For Android, you just need to run Jelly Bean 4.3.1 or later. For this review, I tested the original model Android camera and app.
