At Google I/O 2015 conference, Google debuted an early build of Now on Tap, Google’s new mind reader context-based search feature that looks like the coolest Android feature in a long period of time.

And this feature will be available in upcoming Android M. Now on Tap is a new way to search content inside apps automatically. So, when you’re in an app, you have to hold down the home button and then Now on Tap starts its magic. Your phone’s Android will figure out the content on the screen and then perform a Google Now search. While the usual search results brings back a list of links, Now on Tap brings back organized information for you. Let us suppose you are chatting with a friend and it mentions the movie Tomorrowland and if you hold the home button, a tiny card will pop up from the screen-bottom with information about the movie from the web and apps like IMDb.

now-on-tap-4

In one more example if you are chatting with your loved one and he/she said today i would like to dine Mexican Food, how about to take dinner at Reposado (For example). When you hold Home Button it will auto scan your text and pick up the place Reposado and show you related results like on Google Map etc.

now-on-tap-2

So as seen on Android M, Now on Tap is an intuitive search that works with apps – actually all apps – and you will have to never leave the app window and open the browser to search your query. Now on Tap is like your phone’s digital eye that reads your screen and brain to give you the desired result.

This feature is the coolest one which will make your life easier and does things just by thinking. You also have a full control of these suggestions whether you want to choose them or ignore. This feature in Android M is the most exciting part of the next iteration of Google’s Android OS and it surely has the capability to take Google’s personal assistant far past Apple’s Siri and Microsoft’s Cortana.

Android Auto is finally rolling out to production cars, starting with the Hyundai Sonata. Android Auto does not fully replace the Sonata’s interface. Instead, it essentially runs as an app on top of it, launching when you plug in a compatible phone (Android 5.0 or newer) into the car’s built-in USB port. It turns the car’s infotainment system into the conduit for controlling Google Maps navigation, receiving messages, and playing music or listening to podcasts.\

Announced at Google I/O 2014, Android Auto is the counterpart to CarPlay on iOS. And in fact many auto manufacturers as well as aftermarket units support both Android and iOS.

It also lets you use Google’s voice search from behind the wheel, using the existing buttons and microphones already built into the car. Android Auto is Google’s solution for bringing the power of your smartphone to the relatively dumb nature of vehicle infotainment. Basically you’re using your phone to broadcast a new user interface onto your car’s touchscreen, thus bringing the full power of Android 5.x Lollipop to one of the most-used screens you’ll ever own.

androidauto-6.0

The gist is this: Android Auto works by projecting a customized version of a compatible Android smartphone onto the in-car display after the phone has been plugged in to the car via USB. Phone calls are handled over Bluetooth. This opens up the possibility to use mobile apps behind the wheel such as Google Maps, Google Play Music, Google Now and third-party offerings (with modified interfaces for the car) such as MLB At Bat, Spotify and Pandora. The interface is very simple and adapted to be used with few taps and swipes — or even completely with voice control —while driving. It is primarily focused on media and navigation, with initial versions of Android Auto not being suited for climate controls or other in-car functions.

Underneath the hood Android Auto is just based on Android 5.0 Lollipop, with the same newMaterial Design language we’re all getting used to. Some automakers have already confirmed their plans to support Android Auto, and several other manufacturers and third-party OEMs are releasing their own Android Auto-compatible head units. Pioneer released its new NEX series (the 4100, 5100 and 8100) in March 2015.

Say goodbye to calls from unknown numbers. Facebook’s newest app Hello instantly matches phone numbers of incoming and outgoing calls to Facebook profiles to show you info about who you’re talking to, block calls from commonly blocked numbers, and search for businesses to call. Today, Hello is rolling out for public testing in the US, Brazil, and Nigeria, but the catch is that it’s Android-only since iOS won’t let apps interact with phone calls.

Hello’s caller ID feature could clue you in to whether you want to pick up a call from a number you don’t have saved by showing their name and profile picture — as long as they haven’t changed the default privacy setting that lets people search from using their phone number. You’ll then see whatever info they share publicly or with you, like city, employer, website, and more.

hello-feature-gif

Technically, nothing is changing about Facebook privacy, though it does make personal info more readily visible. Hello essentially just runs an immediate Facebook graph search on any number you call or that calls you.

Hello works and looks quite similar to caller ID app TrueCaller. Last month, Android Police spotted Facebook experimenting with an employees-only version off Hello codenamed “Phone”.

Facebook’s now officially testing the app publicly, as Hello Product Manager Andrea Vaccari says there’s a big problem to solve. “More than 1 billion phone calls are made in the US ever day” he tells me. But “the experience of the phone call hasn’t evolved in a long time.”

Samsung’s marketing team has just produced what could be its best work yet — and definitely its most violent. The ad above isn’t brand new, and it’s possible you’ve seen a shorter teaser version on TV in recent weeks, but man is it great. Hit play, and you’ll think you’ve stumbled upon some generic, thirsty-for-views YouTube unboxing video.

Samsung totally nails the vibe here, with all the hallmarks you’d expect; you’ve got your unsteady camera filming everything, plus the played out “Hey, what’s up guys” greeting that inexplicably always starts these things off. But then the clip suddenly morphs into a real-world blend between Mirror’s Edge and an action sequence that would be right at home in a Jason Bourne movie. Seventy seconds in, our host — having made a successful helicopter getaway — is back to talking about the S6’s ability to run two apps at once.

We’re left hoping that Samsung will try to top this whenever the Note 5 comes around, because unboxing videos need less boring stuff and more smashed garden pots.

Google now let you to run Android apps on your Chrome browser in your Computer with a tool called App Runtime of Chrome                                                                                                                   (ARC) Welder. It is a project which allows Android apps to run on                                                                                                         Chrome OS.

Some time before this tool was only available for developers who got to collaborate with Google to do so. But now Google Officially launch its full version for Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS which will allow you to run Android Apps on your Desktop. The all you need is just add APK files of application which your want to run on your PC. I also  run WhatsApp on my PC with this tool and it works perfectly.

ARC-Welder

However, ARC isn’t run all Google Play Services, like Google+ etc and some apps that require missing services like in-app purchasing will fail to run or crash. Hopefully Google will add these in the near future to enable more apps to run on various desktop platforms.

At Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Sony announced its latest Xperia Z4 Tablet. Sony also claims that this is the world’s slimmest and lightest 10-inch tablet. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has a 10.1-inch display that offers a resolution of 2560 x 1600, while the Apple iPad Air 2 offers a 9.7-inch display with a 2048 x 1536 resolution.

Specifications:

Sony Xperia Z4 has a little slighter big is size 254 x 167 x 6.1mm vs Apple iPad Air 2 which is 240 x 169.5 x 6.1mm in diameter. But compare according to weight Sony Xperia Z4 has less heavier than iPad Air 2. The Xperia Z4 Tablet hits the scales at 389g for the Wi-Fi only model and 393g for the Wi-Fi and LTE option, both of which are lighter than the iPad Air 2’s 437g and 444g respective weights.

The Xperia Z4 Tablet and the iPad Air 2 both feature beautiful designs and they both opt for lovely rounded edges. An aluminium frame is present on both, but the iPad Air 2 brings the aluminium finish all the way around the rear, while Sony opts for a tactile matte finish on the back. The iPad Air 2 also has Touch ID so you get fingerprint scanning on Apple’s model while Sony doesn’t have any kind of features like that.

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has a larger and sharper display

In theory, this means the Xperia Z4 Tablet has a sharper and crisper display than the iPad Air 2 and Sony also claims it is the brightest 2K display of its competition. We thought the iPad Air 2 had a great display when we reviewed it, and the anti-glare coating helps limits reflections, but we were also impressed with the Xperia Z4 Tablet during our time with it at MWC 2015.

Camera:

The Sony Xperia Z4 pulls it out of the bag when it comes to the cameras, offering an 8.1-megapixel rear camera and a 5.1-megapixel front camera, compared to the Apple iPad Air 2’s 8-megapixel rear snapper and 1.2-megapixel front shooter. Both the iPad Air 2 and the Xperia Z4 Tablet support 1080p HD video recording and both companies offer their own software features, but Sony delivers a few more in this area compared to Apple.

Storage:

Both the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet and the Apple iPad Air 2 come with 64-bit processors under their hoods. The Xperia Z4 Tablet has a 2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and Adreno 430 graphics, while Apple’s iPad Air 2 has the company’s latest A8X chip, and both will be speedy devices.

In terms of storage, the Xperia Z4 Tablet only has 32GB of internal memory in comparison to the iPad Air 2’s 16GB, 64GB and 128GB options. The storage on the Sony is expandable via microSD up to 128GB however, while the iPad Air 2 isn’t, but microSD will only help when it comes to videos and photos for example, rather than apps.

In terms of battery, the Xperia Z4 Tablet has a 6000mAh capacity, compared to the iPad Air 2’s 27.3 watt-hour capacity. Sony promises up to 17 hours of video playback, while Apple offers up to just 10 hours so you can watch a couple more films on the Xperia Z4 Tablet.

Operating System:

The software is where Sony and Apple head in very different directions. The iPad Air 2 runs on iOS 8, while the Xperia Z4 Tablet has Android 5.0 Lollipop on board. Ultimately, it depends on which interface you’re either used to or which you prefer. If you have an iPhone, you’ll probably opt for the iPad Air 2 because not only is it familiar, but everything will sync seamlessly across your devices. The same goes if you have an Android phone – the Xperia Z4 Tablet is likely to be the better option.

Both come with their own strengths but the Xperia Z4 Tablet users will automatically become Xperia Lounge Gold members, which offers you exclusive content and the Z4 Tablet also comes with the company’s Remote Play function, which allows you to play your PlayStation 4 remotely. The iPad Air 2 has Siri as well as things like AirDrop and AirPlay, which are both handy if you have other Apple products, and there are more iPad specific apps than Android tablet apps.

Recently Google update its Search app for Android 5.0 Lollipop version devices which will allow you to ON/OFF your Wifi, Bluetooth and Camera LED’s flashlight with your voice. The thing you need to do is just update Google Search App on your Android 5.0 Lollipop                                                                                                     version, then you can use these commands.

To use these commands just tap on search button in the search bar, or just say “OK, Google” command, if you have that set up. Next, simply ask the service to ON/OFF your Wifi, Bluetooth or flashlight.

For example:  “OK, Google, turn on Bluetooth/Wifi/Flashlight”

Google_search_app

A Google Now card appears and shows you what’s being toggled. You can touch the card to adjust the toggle if you asked for the wrong one or changed your mind. Additionally, if you have the volume on, you’ll hear confirmation of the action being spoken to you. I’ve tried some more commands, but none seem to work beyond these three. Airplane mode, Location, Brightness, and Volume still send you to their settings tabs. NFC and Data aren’t even recognized as triggers.

Once night vision or thermal cameras are only available for the military and professionals. But now Seek Thermal is a tiny camera which you can attach to your smartphone get a thermal image of your surrounding , showing you a temperature snapshot of your environment.

There are to many awesome real-life uses for Seek Thermal camera for example to find the problem of electricity and water the camera can help you see problems inside pipes or see where heat is escaping from around windows or doors. It is also useful for home security, to see if any unwanted animals or humans are getting into your home.

The Seek Thermal system includes a camera attachment for your Android or iOS device and an app will help you to capture images and shows you more features.

Seek sells two smartphone camera attachments, the $250 Thermal camera and the $300 Thermal Xtra Range (XR), both available for iOS or Android devices. The difference between the two is that the XR can see objects twice as far as the original camera, with the same clarity and the XR has a manual focus feature. For the iPhone, you need to have a Lightning connector and iOS 7 or 8. For Android, you just need to run Jelly Bean 4.3.1 or later. For this review, I tested the original model Android camera and app.
