Now you can watch Youtube videos offline: Google says

On Thursday Google announced in his blog that now people can watch videos on his video streaming side Youtube even when you are not connected to Internet but currently this feature is only available on Android Phones.

One more thing according to Google report this service is only available in India and Indonesia or the Philippines for now but we hope one day this will be available worldwide. The main purpose of this service is that the Internet speed in these countries is bad as compare to European countries thats why video streaming in those countries is full of buffering. Offline mode was first announced by Google India representatives at the Android One global launch event earlier this year.

This feature allows youtube users to temporarily store videos offline to watch later when no Internet connection will available. Where this feature is available, users can choose to add the video for offline viewing by tapping on the offline icon located under the video frame.

As Google mentioned in its blog , videos can be played back offline for 48 hours of time period once taken offline. To download videos users can simply tap on the offline icon (a down array symbol) that sits under the video frame and select the desired quality. The icon will be visible only against videos that have offline viewing enabled.
